I recently stayed at this hotel for a corporate retreat and was impressed with the facilities. The hotel offers 8 meeting rooms, which were perfect for our work events. Additionally, the bar/lounge and coffee/tea in the common area were a nice touch. The 24-hour front desk and business center provided convenient services, and the staff were professional and helpful.
The only thing that I missed for my work was the absence of a dedicated space for co-working. It would have been beneficial to have a designated area with desks and office supplies where I could have worked efficiently during my stay.

A very pleasant hotel with a large room. Staff were friendly all over the hotel.
The hotel is near one of the Suzhou gardens but at least 10 mins by taxi from anywhere else of interest. Taxis were rather hard to come by near the hotel.

There are at least 2 hotels with the same name in Suzhou. This is not the one with the 5 star rating. The location is good as the famous Lingering Gardens is just 50m across the road. For the price we paid on the deluxe room, it's good value. The room is clean and with free wired internet. The complimentary breakfast is average. The reception staff is helpful as they purchase train tickets for us (with service charge) and the tour guide recommended was good.
There are condoms, sex oil etc inside the bathroom for sale. It's ok with us but may not be suitable for family with young kids.

I recently had a delightful stay at Garden in Suzhou. the tranquil garden and serene ponds created a truly restful ambience. the staff members were friendly and always ready to assist, and there was even an on-site shop where I could purchase beverages and ice cream. the room was nice and comfortable, and the hotel was conveniently located close to a couple of attractions. One highlight was the delicious Chinese breakfast, which also offered some Western options like eggs, bacon, and yogurt. It was definitely a great value for money, and I would not hesitate to book this hotel again.
Nothing, everything was great! 👍

The canal area but we asked a number of hotel staff how to get there (I forget the entire name of the canal/shopping area Seven something) but could never get the same answer so a taxi driver finally knew where it was. The concierge should be a little more knowledgeable about their city. The western breakfast was great. My daughter has been in china the entire year and breakfast cereal is what she has missed the most. I think she cleaned you out of that the two mornings we were there! Beautiful setting. Walking distance to the Lingering Garden was nice also.

Designed with a Chinese-styled garden, the hotel provides a classic ancient Chinese settings, compatible with the scenic spots in the city. Yet the hotel needs some kind of refurbishment, and the carpets inside the rooms are not very clean, but suprisingly, I can sleep well with no mosquito attack, thanks to a tiny electronic device. And I don't find anything less than necessary, so given the price, this can be ranked as a satisfactory experience.

I suppose i stayed here because of other's comments.. which i now dont quite agree. Its not bad considering the price paid.. but its certainly not like one guy who "violently recommends it" .. thats deliberate exageration. Its interesting in that the theme is chinese and not yr western decor. this is suzhou afterall. The garden in the centre is nice.. but we got a room without a view... there are rooms with floor to ceiling windows.. just not ours. And we supposedly had a deluxe higher grade room. There were condoms and sex oil and stuff in the room for purchase.. so not sure you would bring children here.. and got us thinking what category of hotel this was.

The staff are friendly. The courtyard is nicely done up.
The carpet in the room looks dirty with several stains mark.

Beautiful hotel, plenty of smaal shops nearby. Reasonable non-chinese breakfast options
Location, far out centre Suzhou and taxi drivers do not tend to take you during rush hour

The value for money at Garden Hotel was excellent, with a comfortable room and a diverse buffet breakfast catering to both Western and Asian tastes. The hotel's location, surrounded by beautiful gardens and just a short walk from the Lingering Gardens, was perfect. The staff were friendly and spoke English, making our stay even more enjoyable.

The photo of the hotel and room they took is exactly the same as what it is, and staff are helpful.
We ordered an executive room, and the requirement is quiet, but the wedding at ball room is too noisy that we could hear it even in the corridor.

Services and facilities are fair. Hotel has garden in classic chinese style. Near lingering garden
For a hotel billed itself as 4 stars, it is more like 3 star. Room is not so clean. Only one lady at the reception can speak little English so if you needs their assistance when the that lady is not there, you are on your own

Comfortable rooms and helpful staff. Close to Lingering Garden and Jiezhuanglv Temple, as well as Shantang Street. Conveniently located near a shopping center with a supermarket. English-speaking staff available. Tasty breakfast with a wide selection of Chinese and international food.
Tourists from South Africa often stay at these properties. Ideas for your future trips.
